West Ham fans on Twitter were over the moon for Snodgrass with first league goal

On Saturday, Robert Snodgrass scored what was his first ever goal in the Premier League for West Ham United and he did so with a touch of class. The Scottish winger’s goal got the Irons back in the game when he caught out Wayne Hennessey at the near post with his dipping half-volleyed effort.

The Hammers have slowly started coming round to their wide man and will hope he can carry on notching for them after he netted his first on Saturday. There’s a lot of competition for starting place at the London Stadium at the moment, but even so, Snodgrass is looking undroppable at the moment. He can change a game with his ability on dead-balls and when he can find the net as spectacularly as he did on Saturday you simply have to start him.

After Snodgrass got the Hammers back in the game yesterday, Javier Hernandez gave Manuel Pellegrini’s side the lead after latching onto a rebound after Felipe Anderson had his free-kick saved. It was then made three by Anderson who stopped the ball dead before curling a peach into the Palace net. It truly was a performance to savour as the Hammers found the net three times for the third consecutive game, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Snodgrass’ brilliance.

The Hammers are loving Snodgrass and will hope his superb form can only continue.
