West Ham: Fans reacted sarcastically to oddly-timed substitution during battering at Burnley

West Ham United slumped to another defeat yesterday, and they’re now without a win since they beat Manchester United at home back in September. Manuel Pellegrini is under pressure and with Spurs, Chelsea and then Wolves away in the next three games, it’s not looking like things are going to improve any time soon.
The ex-Man City manager spent £71.73 million in the summer on players such as Sebastien Haller (£36 million) and Pablo Fornals (£25 million), and neither have managed to settle in as quickly as their manager would have hoped (figures via Transfermarkt). Haller’s two goals against Watford in August looked positive, but four goals from 11 starts isn’t good enough for that much money, and Fornals being without an assist from as many games is clearly not good enough either.
Pellegrini took the creative midfielder off on the 64th minute despite already being 3-0 down and the club posted the change on their official Twitter account. Fans were quick to react sarcastically to the timing of the change and the embarrassing scoreline they were faced with.

Thought we had signed a good player in fornals but seems like he never seen a football before since signing for us

Like us today, this is pointless. Never change West Ham, never change.

They can’t wait to get back on the coach to finish their card game!! They are not interested in playing football.

West Ham fans, what do you think Manuel Pellegrini needs to do to turn this poor form around?
