West Ham fans take to Twitter in delight after Declan Rice’s full England debut

On a night where one England player won their 50th cap in the form of Jordan Henderson, West Ham fans were absolutely buzzing as Declan Rice won his second cap, and did it by completing his full England debut away to Montenegro. The youngster was sublime for the Three Lions, and the Hammers have been lauding him a hero.

Should Declan Rice act good on his love for West Ham and stay with them despite the obvious interest that has been generated by his superb performances then there is almost no doubting that he will be the man to take the captain’s armband from Mark Noble when he gives it up. There really is no better candidate for it either, as the defensive midfielder has proven to be a class act.

Both on and off the pitch it seems everyone loves Rice, and if he can keep improving at the rate he currently is then he’ll go on and make at least another 100 appearances for his country, so these first two this week against the Czech Republic and Montenegro are almost certainly just the start of what will be a long, successful career in international football.

The Irons simply cannot get enough of Declan Rice and will hope the defensive midfielder can kick on to become an England hero as well as a West Ham one.
