West Ham fans take to Twitter in panic at Lanzini’s Argentina call

If Manuel Lamzini was to reinjure himself whilst playing for his country there would be riots breaking out amongst West Ham fans. The Hammers have had to get by for most of this season without their jewel and now as soon as he’s back to fitness he’s been recalled to his national team, sparking panic amongst his fans at club level.

There’s no real surprise in seeing the immensely talented midfielder being called up to represent his country, however, the fact that his awful knee injury last summer happened during training with his international side has just got a few of the Hammers nervous about their man’s fitness. The last thing they need is to go another ten months without their star man and the fears are real.
So far this season Manuel Pellegrini has coped well without Lanzini. The likes of Marko Arnautovic and Felipe Anderson have stood up to be counted in his absence, yet now they have a real chance to thrive with a fully fit attacking trio of those named players, and it could be jeopardised if Lanzini goes away to represent his country and comes back crocked again.

If he gets injured again can we plan a pre-season friendly with Millwall in Buenos Aires?

This is nuts. Surely we can block that!

That's nice for him but I've got a bad feeling about this, you know what our luck is like

Leave him alone for a bit

West Ham fans will not be able to sleep easily until they know Lanzini is back in London and fully fit after his international call-up, and who can blame them after last time.
