West Ham United have started their season in a rotten run of form which has seen their pre-season optimism evaporate and evoke the familiar feeling of discontent which has plagued the club since they arrived at the London Stadium.
4 games, 4 defeats, 10 goals conceded and 2 goals scored was hardly how the supporters had envisaged their opening to the campaign after West Ham’s extravagant summer spending spree. Manuel Pellegrini’s popularity is already beginning to rapidly diminish but he could transform the feeling in East London with a victory over Everton on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the fixture a handful of supporters have been discussing the potential starting eleven and making suggestions regarding their preferred lineup.
And despite the headline dominating controversy regarding his international future, the supporters are eager to see Declan Rice make only his second league appearance of the season.
Rice became a huge fan favourite last season for his determined performances under David Moyes, but he has been absent since he was dragged off at half-time against Liverpool on the opening day of the season.
But with Carlos Sanchez and Pedro Obiang struggling to impress in midfield, the supporters want to see Pellegrini restore Rice to the starting eleven on Sunday to offer defensive protection for the back-four.
Here’s what the West Ham fans have had to say about Rice starting this weekend…
I agree with that team except I would rather see Rice in for Obiang or Sanchez. Hes more suited to cover the RB and LB if they are out of position.

Really? For me he is a must inclusion. He will at least he'll try. He is more mobile than the rest and can pick a pass. fingers crossed the gaffer feels the same

Obiang has been poor this season. Rather Rice and Sanchez in front of the back four, and Wilshire in front of them.
