The Hammers in the Transfer Tavern finally have something to smile about…
It has been a rough few months at the London Stadium, and a poor start to the January transfer window has not made things any easier for Slaven Bilic.
A poor run of results, combined with the failed pursuit of a number of targets, has left the West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern fearing the worst for their side – but it would appear as though there is, at last, a light at the end of the tunnel.
According to the Sun, West Ham are finally set to seal their first major deal of the month – with Slaven Bilic hoping to complete a deal for Brentford forward Scott Hogan this week. The Hammers are said to have agreed a £15 move for Hogan, with Bilic reportedly confident that he will get his man.
The news has come as a welcome relief to the West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern, especially given the focus that has been placed on the Hammers’ failed pursuit of Jermain Defoe over the last few weeks.
With the likes of Andy Carrol and Andrew Ayew proving inconsistent with regards to form and fitness this season, the arrival of a 14-goal forward will undoubtedly please Bilic – and our landlord thinks that he could be a season saver for the London side.
For those unaware, see what Hogan, who has scored 14 league goals this season, can do below…
