West Ham United fans here in the Tavern are feeling slightly stressed after drawing with Stoke City last time out, as relegation to the Championship is still possible.
The Hammers will be desperate to secure a strong finish to the current campaign after flirting with relegation throughout, as many of our local residents are hoping for success next season.
Indeed, Pedro Obiang has been huge for West Ham United so far this season as the anchor in the middle of midfield, but he recently had an operation on his knee that looked like ruling him out for the rest of the season.
Pedro Obiang could make a surprise return during the run-in: "We thought initially, following his knee operation, that he would be out for the rest of the campaign but he has responded very well." #WHUFC pic.twitter.com/910E3qSler

This is great news for West Ham United as one of their star players in the current campaign, with the Hammers struggling for solidity in the middle of midfield at times. And, with a crucial run of fixtures from here on in until the end of the season, the Spaniard could make a shock return to play a huge part in their survival bid. Although, the 26-year-old may only be able to feature for a limited amount of minutes, as they won’t want to suffer any setbacks.
West Ham United supporters here in the Tavern are delighted with the news, as they could be welcoming one of their star players back into the side for their crucial run of fixtures. Although, the midfielder’s fitness could be a concern with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United still to come, as a negative run of results could put them back in trouble.
