West Ham United have been busy rebuilding their squad this summer and have managed to bring in a number of ambitious targets so far.
The Hammers have already signed Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson as their huge attacking threats, whilst Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks, Fabian Balbuena and Lukasz Fabianski have also been added to improve the back.
However, it is thought that Manuel Pellegrini is not quite happy with the squad he has managed to build so far and it is understood he is still in the market.
One player that has attracted plenty of interest from the Hammers this summer is Genoa’s Diego Laxalt, following his performances for Uruguay at the World Cup. However, they may find it difficult to lure him away from the Serie A outfit.
According to a report in Tuttomercatoweb, the London Stadium outfit have already had a bid of 12 million euros turned down, although they do state that negotiations will continue with the Italians wanting 18m euro.
Laxalt would be a smart addition to the West Ham side this summer, should Pellegrini manage to get his man. The Uruguay international has shown that he can be extremely versatile as he can play as a left-back or as an attacking wing-back.
The ambition shown by the Irons could convince the 25-year-old to join them at the London Stadium, however, it is believed he is a wanted man this summer and could have offers that have European football attached to them, which could make it a difficult buy for Pellegrini’s side.
