West Ham United are believed to be ready to head into the January transfer market this winter in an effort to continue revamping their squad.
Manuel Pellegrini made a number of signings in the summer to help change the team he inherited and managed to bring in the likes of Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Issa Diop and Lukasz Fabianski to name a few.
The Hammers have started to gel recently and performances have started to improve after a terrible start, however, they have seen a number of players hit the sidelines with long-term injuries, whilst a lack of goals is believed to be a concern.
But, it appears the London Stadium outfit are ready to try and address that with claims that they have tabled an offer for a striker.
The Brazilian is currently on loan at Santos, where he has admitted he will not be staying, and appears to have rediscovered his form as his progress in Europe has stalled in recent years.
Although West Ham have started to find the back of the net a little more regularly, it could be argued that they need to bring a striker to the table that knows how to score goals.
Marko Arnautovic has been exceptional for the Hammers, however, there is an over-reliance on him as others have failed to step up to the task.
Barbosa, who is also known as ‘Gabigol’ could be an excellent addition, as the £7.2million-rated striker, as per Transfermarkt, has started to shine once again whilst playing for Santos as he has a strike-rate of one goal in almost every two games in the league.
