The West Brom fans in the Transfer Tavern who’ve seen their last three transfer windows dominated by Saido Berahino are sick of the sight of him, though could soon be handed a reprieve.
Midlands neighbours Stoke City are long time admirers of the 22-year old having reportedly taken an interest back in January.
Mark Hughes has now confirmed that the Potters’ interest is still very much alive, and they have put in a £20m bid for the striker.
However, the Baggies are believed to want a replacement lined up before sanctioning the move with some suggesting West Ham’s Diafra Sakho is top of their list.
This looks as though it could be a vicious circle though, with The Hammers operating the same policy as their’s, in that they want a replacement before allowing Sakho to leave.
The Irons look as though they are going to sign AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca in the upcoming days, which could signal the green light for Sakho’s transfer to the Hawthorns, subsequently then allowing Berhaino to make the move to Stoke City.
