West Ham interested in Franck Kessie

West Ham United fans may already be looking towards the summer transfer window with things not exactly going perfectly in recent times. Indeed, David Gold and David Sullivan spent big back in the summer transfer window, so perhaps they’ll empty their pockets at the end of the season.

The Hammers could do with strengthening in many different areas after a rather disappointing season up until this point, with consistency still a big issue at this moment in time.

What’s the news?

West Ham are interested in signing AC Milan’s Frank Kessie in the summer, according to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato).

However, his current club AC Milan are not willing to lose him, which is understandable as he’s established himself as one of the standout performers in the Serie A this season.

The Verdict:

Many fans will agree that one of the club’s biggest problems up until this point has been in the middle of midfield as Mark Noble has struggled to influence the game at times, with Declan Rice often picking up the pieces.

West Ham are clearly looking to go big in the summer transfer window as Kessie has developed into one of Europe’s most dominant central midfielders in the current campaign, so a summer move for him would be very ambitious from the Hammers, especially with his current value standing at £31.5 million (as per Transfermarkt).

Declan Rice has received a lot of interest already ahead of the summer transfer window, so Kessie could be the player that either replaces him or joins him if David Gold and David Sullivan manage to strike a deal.

West Ham United fans, you must be buzzing after being linked with Kessie? Surely he could take your midfield to the next level…
