The transfer rumour mill appears to be well and truly in motion at the moment as West Ham United continue to be heavily linked with a number of different names as the days and weeks go by.
Speculation is always understandable when a side has a number of areas that still need to be addressed and the Hammers are no exception.
Midfielders appear to be on the wish list for Manuel Pellegrini this summer and it seems that the club have their eye on one player in particular.
What’s the News?
They state that the Hammers are said to be keen on the 23-year-old and are exploring the possibility of signing the Basaksehir player in the summer.
Kahveci is a midfield maestro and has been outstanding for Basaksehir this season. Valued at £4.5million by Transfermarkt, he has recorded four goals and five assists in his 28 Super Lig appearances so far.
The 23-year-old is a versatile midfielder who can occupy a number of roles in the engine room, who can offer Pellegrini plenty of options in the middle of the pitch, whilst he would also be able to bring the creative element that the Hammers have been clearly missing this season.
He is disciplined enough to play in a deeper role, where he could partner up with Declan Rice, but he also possesses the technical ability to play as an advanced playmaker.
Kahveci is physically strong on the ball and has an excellent eye for a key pass, whilst he has quick feet and can take the ball around his defender with relative ease. However, his long-range shooting is something that can hugely benefit West Ham in the future.
The Turkish international has a sweet left-footed drive that can take the opposition by surprise and he is not scared of trying his luck from distance, adding a valuable goal-threat to the Irons’ attack.
Kahveci is certainly a player to get excited about and one the West Ham faithful must surely want to see when they are in the stands on a matchday.
West Ham fans, what do you make of Kahveci? Does he excite you at all, or do you think the club should avoid him? Let us know your thoughts about the Turkish international below.
