West Ham United have been extremely unpredictable this season, haven’t they? At times, they can put in a number of impressive performances, however, in the following match, they can look pretty anonymous at times.
Inconsistency has been a real issue for Manuel Pellegrini’s side with certain areas of the team not having performed at times, such as in the midfield and their ability to go forward. However, it appears he could look to address it with a player who has been impressing in the Premier League.
What’s the News?
According to Marca, West Ham are interested in signing Victor Camarasa this summer.
Real Betis’ all-action midfielder has been putting in a number of excellent performances for Cardiff City this season whilst on loan at the Welsh outfit.
However, the Hammers are not the only club to be linked with a move for the Spaniard as Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Leicester City are all credited with having an interest in him.
Camarasa has shown that he has plenty of quality and could be become an integral member of the West Ham team next season if they were to bring him to the London Stadium in the summer.
The 24-year-old could be the man to help add some extra creativity in the middle of the field, as he has an excellent ability to put the ball into the box, something the Hammers have not really had at times and a trait that would be truely welcomed in Pellegrini’s system.
The Spaniard is not scared of taking a shot from distance either, which would add some attacking threat to the midfield as the likes of Declan Rice and Mark Noble are not the type of players to try and work the goalkeeper from distance too often.
However, Camarasa’s passing and tackling can leave a little to be desired, as he has struggled to pick out a number of key passes at times, whilst he has allowed a number of his opponents go past him in matches.
West Ham fans, do you think Camarasa would be an excellent addition in the summer? Or do you think he isn’t the type of player needed at the London Stadium and the club should look elsewhere? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
