ozyakup2The Transfer Tavern bar is a hive of activity this evening as West Ham United fans are discussing a potential midfield signing.

The Metro are reporting that West Ham are the latest team to show an interest in signing highly rated midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

The 23-year-old is no stranger to West Ham boss Slaven Bilic, who worked with the player during his time at Besiktas. A string of fine performances have alerted many clubs to take notice of the £15 million rated midfielder, with the likes of Arsenal also looking at the player.

Ozyakup is no stranger to London either having spent a lot of his youth with Arsenal, before being sold by the club at the end of the 2011-12 season.

From Arsenal he went on to sign for Besiktas in a deal reported to be worth £300,000 and the youngster has not looked back since. He has now forced himself into the Turkish national side having made 12 full caps, scoring once.

Bilic will be hoping that his previous work with the player during his time at Besiktas, will encourage the player to come and join him at West Ham.

The West Ham supporters in The Transfer Tavern are delighted to be linked with a move for such a talented player and see him excelling in the claret and blue at the Boleyn Ground come January.
