West Ham look to make second approach for Bournemouth talisman worth £8 million

ritchieeeWest Ham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are beginning to get edgy as there has been a lot of rumours linking them to brilliant players but none of these deals have materialised yet.

According to The Telegraph, the Hammers are preparing to submit a second bid worth £8 million for Cherries winger and Scotland international Matt Ritchie.

The former Portsmouth winger has grown by leaps and bounds since his move from Fratton Park and now he is wanted by a number of clubs in the Premier League, after being linked with Manchester United last January.

Last month, Irons boss Slaven Bilic gave Bournemouth something to think about after a joint bid for both Ritchie and the in-demand striker Callum Wilson worth £25 million, but it was rejected.

Eddie Howe made it clear he was furious after West Ham submitted their initial bid hours before their final game of the season against the Red Devils, after the game was rearranged due to a bomb scare, but he made it clear the club had no interest in selling either of them.
