West Ham looking at Turkish international

He broke a club record with Trabzonspor in 2011/12West Han United fans currently enjoying a social drink in The Transfer Tavern are discussing the latest player to be linked with the club.

Turkish reports indicate that the Hammers are ready to make a bid for Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz in January.

The 30-year old who has played the whole of his career in Turkey is thought to be open to a move to the Premier League and with Slaven Bilic an admirer of the player the club could be set to make a January bid for the front man.

Over the last few seasons of his career Yilmaz has been prolific taking in spells at Trabzonspor and Galatasaray; in the last five seasons with the two clubs Yilams has made 168 appearances and scored 113 times.

Yilmaz has also been capped on more than 40 occasions for his country and hit the back of the net on 19 occasions.

The frontman could be just what West Ham need to add to their squad with Andy Carroll prone to injury, they are looking for someone who can find the back of the net on a regular basis.

The West Ham fans in The Transfer Tavern are excited at the prospect of signing an international striker like Yilmaz, and hope to one day see him ply his trade at The Boleyn Ground.
