West Ham United fans will be gutted with their side’s result against Manchester United yesterday as two Paul Pogba penalties sealed all three points for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.
Manuel Pellegrini definitely needs to make a number of changes in the summer transfer window with things not going according to plan in recent times in the Premier League.
What’s the News?
Interestingly, it appears as if the London club already have a possible addition in their sights, as according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato), West Ham are the last team to have made contact with Inter Milan to sound out the availability of Ivan Perisic.
Perisic has six goals and eight assists in 38 games in all competitions so far this season but his bad relationship with Mauro Icardi and other players in the dressing room have reportedly convinced Inter to sell him in the summer.
The Croatian international is the type of player who could take the Hammers to the next level as he has the ability to create and produce goals with either foot. And, his skill and dribbling ability makes him almost impossible to tackle, so he could be a real handful in the Premier League.
Indeed, Andriy Yarmolenko has spent most of the season out on the sidelines due to injury and Robert Snodgrass hasn’t exactly impressed in recent times, so there’s definitely room for improvements.
Perisic would be a statement signing for the Hammers but it remains to be seen as to whether David Gold and David Sullivan will splash the cash to sign the wing-wizard in the summer.
West Ham United fans, surely Perisic would be a huge signing? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
