West Ham United have been adding a number of talented players to their squad this summer as Manuel Pellegrini looks to turn his side into a competitive force.
The Hammers’ new boss is determined to take the London Stadium outfit into European football and the additions he has made has shown he is prepared to match his ambition.
The club have already added quality signings like Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko to name a few, however, it is thought that the former Premier League winner still has a few targets left to try and acquire.
One of those is thought to be Domagoj Vida, who impressed for Croatia during their World Cup campaign and are believed to be ready to try and hijack a move for the 29-year-old defender.
Vida has shown his quality with his performances for his country during their World Cup run which saw them get to the Final of the tournament.
However, it remains to be seen if Besiktas are willing to part with a defender they have only recently signed themselves, although an offer closer to the £30m region is thought to be enough for it to be accepted.
The 29-year-old has proven he is a tough centre-back and not a lot gets past him, with a dominating display against England in the semi-finals and there is no wonder why a vast number of Premier League sides have taken a liking to him this summer.
West Ham will hope they can convince him to join them at the London Stadium, should a bid be accepted, however, with the interest from Liverpool, Vida may be tempted to reunite with Dejan Lovern at Anfield instead.
