West Ham midfielder’s proposed Championship move falls through

Reece OxfordThe West Ham United fans are gathered at the bar sinking a few jars this evening and discussing reports that a loan move for one of their highly rated youngsters has fallen through.

The Sun is reporting that Reece Oxford’s move to Charlton Athletic has fallen through for the most bizarre of reasons.

Terms between West Ham and Charlton had been agreed ahead of a move, but Charlton boss Jose Riga poured cold water and cancelled the deal because he didn’t know who the youngster was.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic will now have to offer the youngster around to other clubs as he looks to gain the youngster some first team football with a view to him starting more games for West Ham next season.

Out landlord is in disbelief at the news that the loan has fallen through and regards Oxford as one of the hottest prospects in English football.

As for the West Ham fans in The Tavern they are not overly concerned as they are sure there will be plenty of interest from other potential suitors for the youngster.
