West Ham missed a trick by not signing Jean Michael Seri

It’s been a pretty tough start to the season for West Ham as the east-London club have failed to register a single point and sit bottom of the league.

After bringing in so many new players and a new manager, the club would’ve dreaded their games against Liverpool and Arsenal so early into the season. Following the club’s poor start to the season, the pressure on the new boss has started to increase.

With so many new players, however, it was always going to take time for the club to get into a rhythm and start to pick up points.

Among those new players, was former Arsenal man Jack Wilshere who joined the club on a free. Despite being a top player, the long-time Arsenal man has failed to make a solid impression on the club so far and might not be the right fit at the base of Pellegrini’s 4-2-3-1.

The player the club should’ve looked to sign is former Nice midfielder, Jean Michael Seri who joined Fulham for £27 million over the summer.

Regarded as one of the best midfielders in Europe during his time at Nice, the Ivorian is starting to show signs of what he’s capable at Fulham. In four games for the west London club, Seri has scored a goal and registered an assist.

An all-round midfielder, Seri has the ability to score and create goals while also being able to break up attacks and play from deep.

Wilshere may turn out to be a good player but West Ham have missed a trick by not signing Seri.
