In Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko, West Ham have made a couple of brilliant attacking additions to their squad.

The Hammers have also strengthened their backline with the signings of Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks and Fabian Balbuena.

However, in that area of the pitch, the east London club could do with further reinforcements.

At left-back, manager Manuel Pellegrini currently has Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku at his disposal with the latter mostly being deployed higher up the pitch by his predecessors because of his defensive frailties.

Ultimately, West Ham are lacking a little bit of quality in that department, although that could easily be solved with the acquisition of a Bundesliga ace.

The Daily Mail reports Bayern Munich are looking to sell up to five of their first-team members this summer with left-back Juan Bernat, who is valued at £10.8m by Transfermarkt, one of the names transfer listed.

The Bundesliga club are yet to receive an offer for Bernat or any of his team-mates, giving West Ham a potential free run at a player who would improve their team drastically.

With David Alaba one of the first names on the team-sheet at Bayern Munich, Bernat has had to settle for a bench role when the Austrian has been deployed in his natural left-back position.

But when given the opportunity, Bernat has been efficient with his quality in attack standing out in particular.

West Ham could be involved in one of the deals of the summer if they were to sign the Spain international.
