West Ham United fans will be looking forward to seeing who they can bring in to the London Stadium after they ended their association with David Moyes.
The Daily Mirror are claiming the Hammers are interested in bringing Rafa Benitez and will make an approach for the Newcastle United boss. The Spaniard’s future at St. James’ Park is unclear, although it is believed that he would like to remain in the north-east despite having one year left on his present deal.
It is rumoured that he would be backed with substantial funds should he head to the capital, something he has demanded since being in Tyneside and failed to have received clarification on.
West Ham fans in the Tavern would be delighted to bring in a manager of Benitez’s quality to the London Stadium and it could be a move that the Spaniard would have to consider strongly.
The former Liverpool boss would want to be given a transfer budget that allows him to spend and improve the squad, which he could get with the Hammers and could have a team that could compete for European football should they perform as well as they can throughout the season.
Things look bright for West Ham in terms of managerial targets, with the likes of Paulo Fonseca, Marco Silva and Manuel Pellegrini already linked with the top job at the London Stadium.
