The West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern are celebrating the fact that they are now out of the relegation zone.
A good week for the Irons culminated in them climbing out of the drop zone.
West Ham shocked Chelsea last Saturday with a 1-0 win before holding firm to draw 0-0 with Arsenal in the week.
That was followed by yesterday’s 3-0 win at Stoke City as the revival under David Moyes starts gathering some pace.
Now West Ham are looking to strengthen in the January transfer window.
According to The Sun, David Moyes is ready to launch a £15m bid for Harry Arter.
The Bournemouth star is a major target for the Hammers ahead of the January transfer window as they aim to strengthen their midfield.
With Mark Noble, Pedro Obiang and Cheikhou Kouyate occupying three spaces in the senior squad, West Ham are looking for one more player to add competition for places.
After failing to land William Carvalho towards the end of the summer, West Ham are now looking other possible central midfield additions.
Arter is towards the top of their list.
The 27-year-old is thought to be considering an escape from Bournemouth and he could be tempted to join the East London club.
This is an important stage of Arter’s career so he needs to make his next step wisely.
He needs to be given assurances of game time in West Ham’s midfield.
As for West Ham, £15m is a steep price for Arter but he would definitely give Moyes more options in the middle.
