West Ham receive boost as transfer target allowed to leave Serie A outfit

West Ham United have been busy in the transfer market this summer and the fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping to see a few more additions arrive during the off-season.

The Hammers have shown some intent for the first time in a while with the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini and the subsequent movements in the market as the Chilean looks to make his side as strong as possible.

It is believed the former Premier League winner is looking to bring a forward to the London Stadium as he looks for additional firepower and could be about to be handed a boost for one of his desired targets.

According to a report in Il Mattino, Napoli are keen to let Roberto Inglese depart on loan and the Irons are thought to be one of the potential suitors. It is believed that the striker is surplus to requirements in Naples and the Hammers could be about to pounce on him.

The 26-year-old would certainly fit the bill that Pellegrini has in mind, having reached double figures in the last two seasons with Chievo on loan in the Serie A.

Landlord’s Verdict

Inglese would be a smart signing for Pellegrini and West Ham to make this summer, especially considering Napoli would be willing to let him leave on loan.

The locals in the Tavern will feel that he could be a low-risk addition, due to the fact he could be available on a temporary agreement and will feel that the club has nothing to lose on him.
