West Ham receive two major boosts ahead of crucial campaign

payetThe West Ham United fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted with the news that two of their players could return from injury sooner than expected.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that both Dimitri Payet and Enner Valencia are progressing well following injury, with Valencia expected back in January and Payet in February.

Both players suffered ankle injuries during West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Everton before the international break, and although early signs suggested they could miss a chunk of the season, the verdicts on the injuries received on Monday were better than expected.

Both players have played a key role in West Ham’s impressive start to their Premier League campaign this season.

Concerns were greater regarding Valencia, who suffered an injury to the same ankle during West Ham’s failed Europa League qualifying campaign in the summer.

The West Ham fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted the players could be back sooner than expected, but have urged those in charge to ensure they are both 100% fit, and not bring them back to early.
