West Ham United managed to secure a 2-0 victory over Birmingham City in the FA Cup yesterday, which has now put the Hammers back on the right track.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have fallen off the pace in the Premier League recently, with their European hopes starting to diminish at this moment in time. Although, it appears as if the London club are eyeing a possible swoop, as according to Corriere Dello Sport (via The Sun), West Ham have reignited their interest in Antonio Candreva.
West Ham United have reignited their interest in Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva.
Interestingly, it’s understood that the 54-cap Italian international could be let go from the San Siro this month.
The winger has featured just seven times in the Serie A this season, and they would be willing to listen to offers.
The Italian has experience from playing at right-full back on the international stage, so perhaps Pellegrini will deploy him in that specific position as the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko and Manuel Lanzini would surely push him out of the side once they return from their respective injuries.
Nevertheless, he could do a solid job on the right-hand side, but he is another player who is slowly coming towards the end of his football career.
