West Ham reignite interest in Yacine Brahimi

West Ham United made a number of additions in the summer to help improve their squad, however, it appears that Manuel Pellegrini could return to the transfer market to try and finally bring one man to the London Stadium.

And, it is believed he may be able to do so this winter on cut-price fee, although the Hammers are likely to face plenty of stiff competition for him.

According to Record, the Portuguese media outlet are claiming that Porto’s Yacine Brahimi remains on their radar and have been alerted by the news that he could be available for around €7million.

The Algerian is keen on leaving the Portuguese giants and has refused to sign a new contract a number of times already, leading to the real possibility of him being available this winter.

However, the Premier League outfit are likely to face competition for his signature, as the media outlet claim Lazio are also rumoured to be interested in the attacker.

The Verdict:

Brahimi could be a great addition to the West Ham squad as he could provide them with some much-needed attacking threat.

The Algerian scored 10 times last season and has already netted three this term, as the London Stadium outfit have struggled to find a regular source of goals in recent times.

However, Pellegrini’s side already have a number of wingers, and with the likes of Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko and Michail Antonio already in the set-up, it remains to be seen if they do decide to head back into the market for him.
