West Ham rejected approaches for Xande Silva

One of West Ham United’s summer signings appears to have already attracted plenty of interest from other sides.

According to football.london, Xande Silva has been the subject of a number of loan enquiries from clubs in the Football League.

It is being claimed that those enquiries were knocked back by the Hammers and Manuel Pellegrini is thought to be keeping a close eye on him and his progress.

And, the Chilean will be impressed with how the winger has been performing for the developmental side since joining the club from Vitoria Guimaraes.

The 21-year-old has already netted a hat-trick, which came on his debut against Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League 2, before striking against both Manchester City and Arsenal, whilst adding an assist during their defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Verdict:

West Ham will be excited by how Silva has been performing in English football and may have made the correct decision to turn down loan moves for him.

Pellegrini is keen to see how the young Portuguese winger develops and is keen to keep a close eye on him, with expectations that he has a bright future ahead of him.

However, it remains to be seen if he will have an impact for the senior side this season, or if he will indeed be loaned out to get competitive football in January.
