Our West Ham fans here in the the Transfer Tavern are so much happier now this season and, according to The Mirror, things could get even better in the summer.
The Hammers have had a real season of two halves so far with the first half up to Christmas an absolute aberration and the second half of it, so far, being much better.
The men from east London have certainly picked things up recently, then, and Slaven Bilic is apparently eyeing two experienced internationals to help build on that in the summer.
The pair in question – Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta – look like they won’t be getting new contracts with Manchester City at the moment and that could lead to them leaving on a free.
The two right backs may be getting on in years but they both have massive experience both in the Premier League and on the international stage – surely solving West Ham’s problem right back area.
Young Sam Byram has got another injury to contend with, too, and so this potential double deal could be a master-stroke from Bilic – according to our landlord.
