West Ham United boss David Moyes could make use of the uniquely-timed World Cup break to bed in some of his summer signings, says Dharmesh Sheth.
The Lowdown: Stuttering Irons
Having splashed out over £150m on eight summer signings, Moyes is yet to get the best out of his transfer window haul.
The side have majorly stuttered in the Premier League this term, leaving the Irons in the vulnerable position of 16th in the table, hovering just one point above the relegation zone.
More worryingly, the Hammers are the third-lowest scorers in the league thus far, and have created the fewest amount of big chances in the league with just 14 big chances created.
This metric sees them rank rock bottom in comparison to the rest of the league.
The Latest: Breathing room
According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, the World Cup will grant Moyes with some much-needed time to settle his summer signings.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Sheth said: “They gave him all of this money and David Moyes whenever you hear him in news conferences, yes, he’s getting a lot of criticism from the fans, but he will always say, look, these are new players, a lot of them come from abroad and from different leagues, they just need time to settle down.
“Now I just wonder, whether he’ll be able to use this break and whether the players that have remained and haven’t gone to the World Cup, he can work with them in this five-six-week period, to get them ready for the second half of the season.”

The Verdict: Respite
Quite simply, £85k-per-week Moyes has been 'saved by the bell' in context of the international break that has come as a result of the uniquely-timed Qatar World Cup.
One win from their last five games was slowly consuming the club, and you get the impression that this form could have snowballed into catastrophic consequences for the side.
This World Cup break gives teams chance to almost restart the season with a clean slate, and Moyes will be looking to do just that having been given time to bed in his summer signings, in what will feel like a mini pre-season in itself.
