It was a tough season for West Ham United last time out but Slaven Bilic’s team overcame the threat of relegation before finishing in 11th place in the Premier League table.
The placing meant the Hammers finished a decent ten points above the relegation zone which considering some of the form they showed earlier in the campaign, was pretty impressive indeed.
And there’s thought amongst the West Ham faithful that with a strong pre-season and summer schedule, the club can iron out all of the flaws that they suffered during last season.
And there’s one piece of news that is set to delight the Hammers faithful early doors, with the news that Pedro Obiang looks set to be fit for the start of the new season, despite being ruled out for months with a leg injury in March.
The Spaniard was one of the standout individuals as West Ham’s form improved towards the end of the campaign and there’s no doubting that Obiang had a big part to play in that.
And the midfielder has been speaking to WHUFC.co.uk, speaking of his delight that he’ll be back on the pitch and playing again soon enough.
