West Ham set for sensational swoop for Japanese international

Keisuke HondaThe West Ham United fans gathered around the jukebox in The Transfer Tavern are ecstatic at the news the club are looking to sign a highly rated international midfielder.

The Evening Standard is reporting that Slaven Bilic is looking into making a January move for AC Milan and Japan midfielder Keisuke Honda.

Honda has been out of favour with the Italian club so far this season, seeing himself restricted to just appearances from the bench.

The player is thought to be getting fed up with life at Milan, and wants regular first team football at a club who will appreciate what he can offer them.

The rumoured price of £5 million is something of a snip for the classy midfielder who has represented his country on 77 occasions and scored 32 goals.

His best spell of his club career came during his spell in Russia with CSKA Moscow, where he was part of a team that won both the Russian league and cup during the 2012/13 season.

The West Ham fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted to be linked with a player of Honda’s quality, and hope to welcome him to the Boleyn Ground in January.

Hammers fans, could Honda’s addition take you to the next level? Let us know in the comments below!
