West Ham set to move for prolific striker as Bilic looks to turn season around

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for some big changes in January…

The Hammers have really struggled this season, and whilst things have shown signs of getting better in recent weeks – they are still far from safety.

In truth, West Ham will need to perform a miracle in the January transfer window in order to get anything from the current campaign – and it would appear as though the Hammers’ brass is planning exactly that.

According to the Sun, West Ham are plotting a shock move to bring ex-Hammer Jermain Defoe back to the club in January – with the impressive Englishman proving his qualities for Sunderland as of late.

With the likes of Sakho and Carroll proving to be inconsistent and injury prone, a new striker has been at the top of the transfer list for the West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern – and it would appear that they could get their wish.

It would undoubtedly be no easy feat, though, with our landlord touting Defoe as the only man that can save Sunderland from relegation. The Englishman has been in outstanding form for the Black Cats since his arrival, having scored nearly 30 Premier League goals.

The Sunderland fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a Christmas miracle – and are wishing for Defoe to stay.
