The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern would love to see him at the London Stadium…
West Ham have struggled so far this season, and so it would come as no surprise to learn that Bilic has big things planned as he looks to turn the form of his disappointing side around.
As is so often the case, however, his plans will likely rely upon the Hammers remaining in the Premier League this season – and if that happens, according to the Telegraph, West Ham could be plotting an audacious move for an out-of-favour Man City ace….
As per the Telegraph, West Ham are keen on Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart – who is currently on loan at Torino in Serie A.
They note that one of Adrian or Randolph are expected to leave at the end of the current campaign – with Joe Hart seen as the perfect man to replace them at the London Stadium.
It would be an audacious move, of course, but our landlord thinks that it could make a lot of sense for both parties. The Premier League is typically the pinnacle for English players – and Joe Hart would likely want to remain in the English top flight if he got the chance.
From a West Ham perspective, Hart represents an experienced hand that would likely be available for a good price. This deal, seemingly, ticks all the boxes for both Hart and West Ham. Whether Man City would be interested in a sale to a Premier League rival remains unclear, though.
Hart’s form has been under a microscope for a while now, but there is no doubting the quality of the player that West Ham will be landing, should they sign the English veteran.
