West Ham should back David Moyes and fund a January move for this German star

West Ham are having a miserable old time of things in the Premier League this season, and with Slaven Bilic gone, the club have turned to David Moyes to try and resurrect their campaign and avoid a relegation fight.

At the time of writing, the Hammers were preparing for a tough home assignment against Leicester City, and our West Ham fans here in the Tavern have been somewhat nervous this week that their season could well implode and a return to the Championship may be on the cards.

However, our landlord thinks they might have enough in the locker if they can add the odd new face in January, and one player he thinks could come in and make a big difference for the Hammers is current Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse.

The 29-year-old German has been quality over a number of seasons now, and looks ready made for a crack at the English top flight.

15 goals last season were impressive, and he has already notched four this term as he continues his impressive form. He’s a full German international and highly thought of by those familiar with the Bundesliga, and the Hammers could well do with someone to bang the goals in.

Should Kruse fancy the move to England, then a move to a club in London would surely appeal. With Andy Carroll, Andrew Ayew, and summer signing Javier Hernandez all struggling for goals, Kruse could well be the perfect tonic for Moyes and West Ham in the January window.

West Ham fans, what do you make of Kruse? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
