West Ham are in the hunt for a new striker to lead their line next season and Celtic forward Moussa Dembele would be the ideal addition.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims that Slaven Bilic’s side are in the race to sign the 20-year-old and punters at the bar in the Transfer Tavern feel he would be a great addition to the squad.
The former Fulham player scored 32 goals in 48 games for Celtic last season which has meant many clubs, including Chelsea and Marseille, are tracking his progress.
He is undoubtedly one of Europe’s hottest prospects right now and given his young age he will undoubtedly demand a large sum of money for Celtic to want to sell him.
Chelsea may seem the more attractive option for the young striker but he isn’t guaranteed to play every game under Antonio Conte.
However, at West Ham he has a greater chance of being first in the pecking order so he may opt for them instead.
He would be allowed more game time and more trust under Bilic’s guidance which would allow him to develop even further.
Dembele is yet to make an appearance for the French national team despite impressive club form but he has represented his nation at every age group, from Under 16 to Under 21.
Fans in the beer garden are convinced it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a regular in the senior side.
Would you take him if the price is right, West Ham fans? Let us know!
