West Ham got themselves a good result last time out with a solid 1-1 draw with title contenders Liverpool.

The Hammers will be hoping to continue that sort of performance level into the final months of the season and finish on a high under Manuel Pellegrini.

The January window was a quiet one for the Hammers though, and they will be hoping to have more success in the summer when the club will no doubt be keen to bring in some new faces to further improve what is already a talented enough squad.

And one area we here at the Tavern feel the club need to make sure they improve is up front, where they are often found lacking when it comes to having a number nine of genuine quality spearheading attacks.

However, we feel that the man they need is not too far away, and we think they need to make a move for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, who has been in superb form once again in his loan spell with Aston Villa.

19 goals already have demonstrated just what ability the young striker has, and there is no doubt that in the right environment and with the right amount of game time, Abraham could flourish at the top level.

West Ham need that man they call their main striker, and Abraham would fit the bill nicely.

Clinical in front of goal and young enough to improve even further in the coming seasons, Abraham would be a superb summer capture for the Hammers.

West Ham fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
