West Ham will be growing in confidence when looking at their upcoming fixtures, with the majority of games coming against teams below them in the table.
That will be a big test for Manuel Pellegrini’s men to keep calm and beat the teams that on paper, they should be beating.
With their attack once again coming to fruition, it’s clear to see that the Hammers problems lie further back in defence. Seeing as mistakes have occurred on behalf of both left-backs Arthur Masuaku and Aaron Cresswell, that is a position that Pellegrini will be hoping to improve.
Although he may not be an instant hit, eyeing a left-back with the bright future that Jamal Lewis has could be a brilliant idea for the Hammers.
Lewis, who is valued at £900k on Transfermarkt, is a youngster with the world at his feet and his form at Norwich has been nothing short of brilliant this season.
Having played in all bar two of Norwich’s games this season, Lewis has been a key part in keeping the defence tight and offering an attacking threat on occasion.
The Championship has always been regarded as a tough, physical league but as of yet, Jamal Lewis hasn’t been fazed as he continues to progress immensely.
West Ham signed Aaron Cresswell from Championship side Ipswich Town back in 2014 and enjoyed great success with the Englishman for the first two seasons.
Now though with both him and Masuaku not being the most reliable defenders, Manuel Pellegrini could turn to 20-year-old Jamal Lewis, seeing as he is no stranger in allowing youngsters to get their chance.
