West Ham United will have their eyes set firmly on securing a European spot having enjoyed such a successful summer transfer window thus far.
Indeed, the Hammers have been one of the big spenders so far this summer as Manuel Pellegrini continues to ring in the changes before the start of the new campaign. And, it doesn’t look as if he’s finished just yet, as according to the Daily Star, West Ham are still keeping tabs on Alfie Mawson and it’s suggested that discussions have been held.
Interestingly, it’s believed that the Hammers are still keeping tabs on the 24-year-old, and it’s suggested that discussions between the two clubs have been held.
However, they aren’t the only team interested in the central defender as Fulham and Burnley are now also keen to secure his services this summer.
Manuel Pellegrini has already been active in the transfer market thus far, so it’s difficult to rule West Ham United out of the race to pull off yet another sensational swoop.
So, it looks as if the Hammers are looking to sure up their defence by bringing in one of the best defenders in the whole of English football, who could be available for a small price following Swansea City’s relegation to the Championship.
Although, with Burnley and Fulham also in the race, it looks as if West Ham will need to do everything they can to secure his services. But, with suggestions that talks have been held between Swansea and the Hammers already, perhaps Manuel Pellegrini’s side are in pole position.
