West Ham supporters on Twitter unhappy with the potential sale of Obiang

There have been a host of arrivals at the London Stadium this summer with West Ham spending big money on the likes of Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has also brought in Jack Wilshere to strengthen his midfield, while the former Manchester City boss is said to be chasing Juventus’ Stefano Sturaro as well (Gazzetta dello Sport).

While Wilshere and Sturaro could both be lining up in the middle of the park for West Ham this season, one midfielder whose future looks to be away from the London Stadium is Pedro Obiang.

According to Sky Sports, the Hammers are in advanced talks with Serie A outfit Sampdoria over the sell of the £7.2m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Spaniard.

Given the possible arrival of another midfielder, on top of the signing of Wilshere, Obiang being moved on does make some sense with the West Ham hierarchy probably looking to recoup some money after the club’s spending spree.

Have a look at what Hammers supporters are saying about Obiang’s future below…
