West Ham United are continuing their efforts to strengthen this summer as they look to make another addition to their squad.
Manuel Pellegrini has already brought several talented players to the London Stadium during the transfer window, however, it appears he is trying to add a striker to his side.
L’Equipe are claiming West Ham have made an offer in the region of €30million for Porto’s Moussa Marega. The player has been the subject of interest for the majority of the summer and the Hammers are now making a move to bring the Mali international to the Premier League.
However, it appears that the Irons may struggle to strike a deal with the Portuguese champions, as the club are remaining defiant that they will not accept an offer less than his release clause, which is thought to be around €40m.
A deal for Marega will appear to be one that could go all the way down to the wire, especially if Porto remain defiant on a fee.
The striker was prolific last season as he bagged 22 goals in 29 league games and Pellegrini is keen on seeing him replicate that form at the London Stadium.
However, it remains to be seen if West Ham and Porto can reach an agreement for the Mali international.
