West Ham United are believed to be keen on adding a striker to their ranks and could look to make a rather audacious move.
The Hammers managed to add a number of quality talents to their squad at the London Stadium in the summer, helping Manuel Pellegrini rebuild the team significantly.
The likes of Felipe Anderson and Jack Wilshere both joined in what were considered coups, however, it looks as though they are keen on making another one very soon.
The France international, who helped his nation lift the World Cup this summer, is out of contract in the summer and could look to try and convince him to join them at the London Stadium.
It has been claimed the Hammers tried to sign him when he was still considering his future at Arsenal, however, he decided to opt for a move to Stamford Bridge instead.
West Ham certainly need to add a striker to their ranks and Giroud could be considered a good piece of business, but not necessarily for the reasons they need.
The Frenchman is a great target man and has a strong aerial presence that would help to make the Hammers have more attacking threat in the final third.
However, there surely would be concerns about his ability to get goals, as he failed to get one during the World Cup and is yet to hit the target for Chelsea this season, although he did prove with Arsenal he could as he hit double figures in five seasons at the Emirates Stadium.
