West Ham targeting four Primeira Liga stars

West Ham United have been rebuilding their squad impressively ahead of the Premier League season and have turned their side into a force to be reckoned with.

Manuel Pellegrini was appointed as the new manager of the Hammers earlier in the summer and has wasted no time in making sure his side is as strong as possible to compete for a place in European football.

The Chilean has already made several signings to improve his London Stadium outfit, including deals for Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko, however, reports are starting to suggest that the former Premier League winner is considering deals for a number of others as well.

Sky Sports are claiming that West Ham are in talks with four players from Portugal’s Primeira Liga, including a number of highly ambitious targets.

The report states that Porto’s Moussa Marega and Yacine Brahimi are on their radar, as well as Benfica’s Joao Felix and Vitoria Guimaraes’s Xande Silva.

The Verdict:

West Ham have already been largely successful this summer with their recruitment drive, however, if they were to land the quartet, they would need to be considered a threat in the Premier League next season.

Pellegrini is intent on adding creative players to the squad, something that Brahimi can offer the side, whilst Marega’s goalscoring record would certainly be welcomed at the London Stadium.

The talented Silva and Felix would also be great additions to the side as they would look to feature in the developmental side, alongside compatriot Domingos Quina and could become stars of the future.
