West Ham United will look to bounce back to winning ways on Thursday when they meet Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium.
The Hammers saw their four-game unbeaten run come to an end at the weekend when they were defeated by Watford.
Manuel Pellegrini will be keen to see his side react as quickly as possible and get back to picking up points as they look to make a charge for European football.
They will travel to strugglers Southampton on Thursday, however, the Irons appear to have some concerning news ahead of the trip.
Both men have played crucial roles for West Ham this season, whether it be scoring the goals or helping to improve the backline.
Lucas Perez could make a timely return if the Mexico international is not declared fit, whilst Marko Arnautovic is not thought to be too far away from a return.
Hernandez and Balbuena’s current injury situation will be concerning for West Ham and Pellegrini as they prepare for their trip to the south coast.
The pair have been key for the London Stadium outfit in recent weeks, playing vital roles in helping the Hammers to go on their unbeaten run.
With the number of injuries already at the club, Pellegrini will be hoping that the duo will be fine and able to play on Thursday.
