West Ham United will host Fulham at the London Stadium on Friday night as they return to Premier League action after a two-week hiatus.
The Hammers were held to a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in their last top-flight meeting and will want to record their first win in the league since their 1-0 victory against Arsenal in the middle of January.
And, according to a match preview on the club’s official website, it appears Manuel Pellegrini could have a potentially huge boost ahead of the game.
Both Manuel Lanzini and Samir Nasri could be available for selection as both have returned to first-team training.
The Argentina international has been out the whole campaign with a knee injury after he picked it up preparing for their World Cup campaign.
Nasri has been dealing with a calf problem, however, he has since managed to shake that off and is in contention to make a return against struggling London rivals Fulham.
The news that both Lanzini and Nasri could be in contention to feature for West Ham will come as a huge boost to Pellegrini and the club.
Many will have been waiting desperately for the return of the Argentine, as The Hammers have arguably missed what he can contribute to the side this season, especially with the number of injuries the club have had to their other players as well.
Nasri’s return will also be welcomed by the Chilean manager, as he has shown glimpses of what he can still offer to the Irons in the Premier League and could make a difference against Fulham on Friday night.
