West Ham United will look to record back-to-back wins when they host Crystal Palace at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were 3-1 winners on Tuesday, however, the win did not come without a huge cost for the Hammers.
Marko Arnautovic picked up an injury in the first half and the Chilean has confirmed that his star man will be unavailable for around a month.
“Arnautovic has a muscle injury and he will probably be out for around a month,” he told the club’s official website.
“We know Marko is a top player. We know how important he is. He adds a lot to this team.”
There is no doubt that Arnautovic’s injury is a huge blow to West Ham and the way they operate.
His injury could not have come at a worse time in the season for Pellegrini, as games will start to come thick and fast for the Hammers in the Premier League.
However, his absence will likely mean Lucas Perez and Javier Hernandez will both lead the line and will look to continue their fine form in front of goal.
