West Ham team news: Pellegrini receives timely injury boost

West Ham United will host Premier League new-boys Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium on Saturday.

And, according to the club’s official website, Manuel Pellegrini will have received a timely injury boost ahead of the game against the Molineux outfit.

It is understood that Marko Arnautovic will be available for the Chilean to select after he has come through from a knock successfully and been able to train through the week.

The Austria international, who netted the club’s only goal during their defeat to Arsenal, had to come off injured and subsequently missed their League Cup tie with AFC Wimbledon.

Pellegrini has no further injury concerns ahead of the game against Wolves, with Andy Carroll, Winston Reid and Manuel Lanzini still a long way from returning.

The Hammers will be keen to pick up their first points of the season and could see the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell make their first Premier League starts of the campaign.

The Verdict:

West Ham will be desperate to get their first Premier League points of the season, however, the visit of Wolves could be a tricky one for Pellegrini’s side.

The Chilean has added a number of stars to his squad this summer, however, they have failed to gel so far, whilst their opponents have managed to take the league by storm, including holding champions Manchester City to a 1-1 draw last weekend.

Arnautovic’s availability will be a huge boost for the Hammers on Saturday, as he appears to be the main threat when going forward and the most likely to score the goals for the London Stadium outfit.
