West Ham United are believed to be considering their options when it comes to their forward line this winter.
Manuel Pellegrini already has a number of players available at his disposal when thinking about who to deploy, however, there has been talk of players leaving and the Chilean could look to add in the January transfer window.
And, according to reports, it appears as though he could turn to Portugal for a player that has previously been touted with a move to the Hammers.
The Mali international has been in fine form for the Dragon’s once again this season, having found the back of the net six times in his 11 Primeira Liga outings, whilst also striking five goals in six Champions League ties.
The Portuguese outlet also adds that Marega has a €40million release clause in his contract, which apparently ‘doesn’t scare the English’ clubs.
Marega is an excellent striker and has proven at a consistent level how good he can be for Porto, making it no real surprise his name has popped up with a move yet again.
West Ham’s current striker situation looks a little concerning at the moment, with rumours that the likes of Javier Hernandez, Marko Arnuatovic and Lucas Perez could all look to move away from the London Stadium in the future.
However, with a player of Marega’s quality, it is unlikely Porto will want to go through the battle they had in the summer to keep hold of him once again, whilst you can guarantee the Hammers will not be the only club interested.
