West Ham United are thought to be interested in one of world football’s hottest goalkeeping prospects.
According to a report by De Telegraaf, The Hammers have been linked with a move for Andre Onana.
The Ajax shot-stopper is considered to have a bright future ahead of him, with the likes of Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal all believed to be keeping tabs on him as well.
The Cameroon international, who is a former Barcelona youth player, has kept 22 clean sheets in his 38 appearances across all competitions so far, conceding just 27 in the process, per Transfermarkt.
The 22-year-old, however, is not expected to be a cheap buy though, with the Dutch media outlet claiming he could cost upwards of €30million for Ajax to even consider accepting a possible offer.
There is no doubt that Onana is a ridiculously special talent and will be a star in the future and is a player that makes perfect sense of West Ham.
Lukasz Fabianski, who has been excelling in his own right at the London Stadium, is reaching the latter stages of his career and the Cameroonian could be a perfect-made replacement.
However, with clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal and Tottenham all believed to be interested in him and with a hefty price-tag, whether West Ham look to make a move for him remains to be seen.
