West Ham United are believed to be about to hand an exciting prospect the chance to show them what he can do.
According to a report by Football-Wonderkids, Lateef Omidiji Jr is set to head to the Premier League side on a trial.
However, The Hammers are not the only club the American-born Nigeria international will have the opportunity to impress in England, with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Manchester United amongst the clubs he will spend time with over a two-month spell.
Still only 15-years-old, he has been playing for Go Ahead Eagles’ Under-17s this season following his summer switch from Feyenoord.
Although not much is known about Omidiji Jr, it appears he has an exciting future ahead of him if the clubs interested in looking at him closer are anything to go by.
The teenager has obviously impressed enough at the international level, where he will represent the Under-17’s against Turkey next month – becoming the first player born outside of Nigeria to do so.
Over the years, West Ham have managed to produce a number of quality players through their academy ranks, with Declan Rice being just the latest to have come through.
Should Omidiji Jr do enough to convince The Hammers he has enough potential whilst on trial with them, the sky could be the limit for the young Nigerian.
